They achieve this through their cloud and infrastructure expertise, rich insight and managed service offerings.About the Role:As they build, migrate and run SAP solutions on Azure, they have an increasing demand MS SQL skills within the SAP services they provide, as well as for non-SAP systems that their customers want them to support along side the core SAP offerings.With the acceleration in digital transformations and projects, they are seeking another highly capable and self-motivated Microsoft SQL specialist to join their team. This role is based in their Consultancy team and will support a growing list of exciting and active Microsoft Azure transformation projects requiring SQL project and support services. Main Responsibilities:Discovery, Project definition, project planning and management, solution design, configuration and customisation of SQL instances and servicesIntegration and Application analysis and documentation of integrated systemsProvide expert advice on SQL functionality, Security, change management and other advisory servicesDefinition, Design and Migration solutions to customers based on best practiceProvide guidance on test plans and end-user documentationProvide 3rd line customer support for SQL incidents and problems during and post hypercareThe successful Candidate will have/ be:Essential4 -5 years experiences as a DBA/SQL DBA in a production environmentExperience of working with SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012/R2, 2014 is essential and knowledge of 2016 would be a distinct advantageExcellent communication skillsStrong skills for problem solving and analysisExcellent attention to detail. Ideally, you will also have an IT related degreeAbility to work as part of a team and individuallyPrevious experience working with Azure and Managing Azure SQL instancesCan demonstrate Technical leadership in an array of client-based projects, working with large amounts of data for web-based reporting, including data migration, database design and database optimisation.Have a proven track record in Database administration, with a particular focus on performance tuning, indexing, clustering and replication for Microsoft SQLExperience of working on-call and handling out-of-hours incidentsKnowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databasesAbility to build detailed requirements from high level specificationsFamiliar with tools that can aid with profiling server and query resource usage and optimisingWindows Server knowledge and experienceImplementation and delivery experience, which should include at least one full project lifecycleDesirableExperience of Source Control Systems - such as Git Hub Data Modelling / Data Cleansing / Data obfuscation and Automated TestingKnowledge of SSAS and other integrated reporting tools such as Microsoft PowerBIMicrosoft O365 knowledge and experienceMicrosoft SQL Server CertifiedMicrosoft Power BIScripting in PowerShell/T-SQL or equivalent on any platform for API integrationExperience of working in an agile development environment and with knowledge of one of the agile frameworks e.g. Scrum, XP, KanbanExperience with a range of modern relational database platforms e.g. Oracle Strong proficiency with SQL and vendor variationsSkilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statementsExposure to SAP systemsBenefits:Highly competitive salary and excellent benefits packageHugely supportive working environment with a dynamic culture and companyFlexible and diverse working environmentSounds interesting?
