Brand & Marketing Lead - Academic

Salary range: £25,876 - £28,500

 About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing marketer for our online publishing services, including Cambridge Core, Cambridge Open Engage and future platforms.

This is a unique role within our global marketing department, as it focuses directly on the platforms that host our online publishing and not only on our published content. The role requires close collaboration with the Academic Marketing Team, the Digital Publishing Team and platform developers. It involves presenting new developments to internal and external audiences and working closely with colleagues at all levels.

You will need to show strategic thinking and creativity, combined with the ability to plan, develop and implement a marketing strategy aimed at multiple target audiences worldwide. In addition to marketing our platforms, you must also work efficiently with the Development Teams in Cambridge, New York and Manila, sometimes by helping to specify and test functionality.

About you:

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and people skills, enabling them to network with internal departments and colleagues throughout the organisation.

You will have experience of social media and web marketing; have a strong interest in online and publishing technology; have commercial awareness; and be capable of showing individual initiative whilst working within a busy team environment.

Marketing experience within academic or professional publishing, and/or experience of marketing web platforms and web development, and /or experience of working in a marketing or advertising agency, could be beneficial, but is not essential.
