Supply Chain and Logistics Director

Main Purpose of Role

Here at Babcock International we are looking to recruit a Supply Chain and Logistics Director for a rare and exciting opportunity to join this FTSE listed engineering and support services business, to be based primarily from our regional headquarters on HMNB Devonport, Plymouth.

Reporting to the Corporate Services Director, the Supply Chain and Logistics Director (Naval Nuclear), will act as the single point of contact for all Naval Nuclear Business Units for all aspects of material, services and sub-contract supply chain and logistics activities.

The Supply Chain and Logistics Director will lead a team of Strategic and Operational Procurement, Material Management, Material Planning, Supply Chain and Supplier Management, Logistics, Freight and Warehousing specialists, (c300+ staff) across the Naval Nuclear business unit (NN), and will:Provide transformational and change leadership that will continuously develop the NN Supply Chain and Logistics functionDevelop and deliver the Supply Chain and Logistics strategy across NN as an active member of the NN Senior Leadership TeamIdentify, coordinate and control the delivery, performance and execution of all material, services and sub-contract activities across NNProvides functional governance for supply chain and logistics activities within NN
