Make sure we're free to protect the nuclear industry

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that's dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities. Given the critical nature of our work, it's vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals to our high-performing team.  As a Cyber Security Manager, you'll help us better protect ourselves against the increasing risk of cyber attacks.

As technology continues to evolve at an incredible rate, it's vital that CNC is prepared for all online attacks and threats. In this critical strategic cyber assurance role, you'll advise and support the organisation, while taking our strategy forward along with your personal development.

Responsible for our overarching Cyber Security function, you'll assess the risks faced by the CNC and help design secure solutions. It involves developing and enforcing security plans in line IAW regulatory requirements and managing a robust cyber security framework. If threats are discovered, you'll investigate and analyse them to solve the issue. And, to reduce the risks, you'll make sure our team follows researched advice and guidance.

With proven experience in protective security, you'll be up to speed with physical, investigative and security education. Perhaps you worked in security before specialising in cyber security. Whatever your background, you'll have a sound technical understanding of IT, plus the ability to ability to learn and apply lessons quickly. Able to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience, you'll be articulate, ready to travel nationally and inspired to protect the CNC.
