Lead UX Designer - Wakefield - Salary up to £60kpa

Spring Technology is currently seeking a Lead UX Designer, for a global insurance company going through a digital transformation to unify their online offering.

As the Lead UX designer, you'll use technical aptitude, visual awareness and a range of specialist software tools to create accessible, aesthetically appealing and meaningful applications and sites. It is a varied role where you will have the opportunity to establish data analytics and user working groups to create our UX strategy and design a range of customer facing and internal digital products.

Responsibilities:

*Own the whole area of UX across websites and apps - establishing best practice across the business

*Develop UX strategy/guidelines to enhance overall customer experience for their products and services

*Plan, execute and communicate user research as well as usability testing, to ensure the end product design provides users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement

*Meet with business stakeholders to gather information about their requirements and liaise with them throughout a project to ensure that designs meet their requirements and core business objectives

*Create user personas, user journeys and site maps

*Create wireframes and prototypes using specialist tools such as inVision, Illustrator, Sketch, Axure

*Work on cross-platform applications to develop user experiences covering mobile and desktop

*Redesign existing websites and mobile apps that are easy to use and in line with their UX strategy and guidelines

*Work collaboratively with the business, other designers, marketing, brand, development and project managers

Key Skills and Experience:

*UX designer experience working across a range of commercial entreprise-level B2B/B2C products

*Strong experience creating user persons, surveys and devising strategies for UX Design

*Experience of wireframing, customer journey mapping and user testing

*Excellent visual and interaction design skills for desktop and web applications, ability to quickly iterate mockups, wireframes and interactive prototypes,

*Hands-on experience with tools such as inVision, Illustrator, Sketch, Axure

*Proven ability to produce creative and original designs whilst conforming with corporate branding guidelines

*Have a passion for UX in a digital environment and want to use data to help improve a large corporate business

*Appreciation of current and emerging UX trends along with their potential benefits and limitations

*Knowledge of one or more formal development methodologies

*Previous coding/development experience desirable, general knowledge of HTML & CSS

*Effective Communication, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical people

*Effectively managing own workload

*Delivering Results
