SYSTEM SPECIALIST (AUTHENTICATION AND WINDOWS OS SECURITY)
£33,797 to £40,322 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated system specialist to join a successful team delivering core infrastructure services and end-user device solutions to the University.
Under the direction of the Head of Systems, and working closely with stakeholders, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, documentation and support of resilient and robust server infrastructure to deliver infrastructure systems which support authentication and Windows OS security within ICT services. You will ensure interoperability between central systems (including storage and networking) in accordance with defined processes and security policies. Participation in the out of hours cover scheme is a requirement of this role.
You must have an IT related degree (or equivalent qualification or experience), in addition to demonstrable experience of systems development, ideally including experience of managing and deploying an enterprise-level secure server infrastructure. Presentation, negotiation and problem solving skills are also essential. You will be able to satisfy all the essential criteria in the person specification for the post.
