Senior Java Software Engineer / Developer. Scale-up finance technology software house is seeking a Senior Java Developer to help take them to the next level with a focus on technology. You'll gain an indepth understanding of their core payments platform and collaborate with other senior engineers to iterate and improve the product as the user base scales up (currently 40,000 clients).

There's a modern serverless architecture encompassing Java and C# .Net Core on the backend with Angular 6 on the client side; you'll work with a range of languages and technologies with a focus on backend core Java development.

You'll join a small, talented team in central Milton Keynes; there's parking available or it's around a ten minute walk from the station, flexible working opportunities available.

Requirements:

Broad software engineering background with experience of working on highly transactional systems

Strong Java design and development skills across the full development lifecycle

Good knowledge of cloud technologies; AWS preferred

Familiar with other languages and technologies such as C# .Net, JavaScript, Angular 4+, Node.js, microservices, serverless architecture

Agile team experience

Collaborative with good communication skills; keen to learn and share knowledge, ability to manage stakeholders
