Support Engineer (Linux). Are you an experienced Support Engineer looking for an interesting and challenging role that will enable you to travel worldwide? You could be joining a successful technology company that has created an industry leading virtual queuing and ticketing solution used globally by clients within the leisure / entertainment industry.

 

As a Support Engineer you'll travel frequently to client sites across Europe and Asia to plan and manage the configuration and implementation of hardware and network infrastructure. You'll be responsible for planning all implementations as well as overseeing the ongoing support and maintenance of on-site hardware. During times that you are not travelling, you'll be based in the company's offices in Reading supporting servers, virtual machines and implementations of software.

 

The offices have free on-site parking available and good transport links close-by. You'll be working within a friendly, relaxed and supportive company that offer perks including flexible working (core hours 10 - 4).

 

Requirements:

Happy to travel worldwide frequently for up to 1 month at a time

Previous experience within a Support Engineer role

Excellent knowledge of Linux

Strong problem solving skills

Confident working independently

Able to professionally and effectively communicate with clients
