We want to be a successful Council - efficient and enterprising, innovative and ambitious - to help realise our vision of the Wakefield district being a place where people thrive, businesses succeed and visitors are welcome.

Our Change Team help to add pace to realising our ambitions, supporting the improvement, transformation and redesign of services across the Council. This is your opportunity to be part of this exciting journey.

We are looking to recruit, on a permanent basis, an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of crucial projects within the council, who can successfully sell Wakefield's vision to key stakeholders. Working with colleagues across the Directorate, along with other council services, you will help to embed and apply best practice and expertise in leading and managing successful change.

With the right blend of positive-energy, skills and significant experience in both programme and project management, you'll work well under pressure and be highly resilient. As an excellent communicator, you will also have exceptional organisation and planning skills and the ability to engage with colleagues at every level.

Reporting to the Business Change Manager, and being deployed to multiple projects across the Directorate, you will be passionate about driving improvement and positive change, thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment and work well as part of a high-performing team.

Experience in leading the implementation of technology as an enabler of change, as well as experience of programme managing an organisation-wide programme in a large organisation, would be advantageous.

Think you have what it takes? Join us. With your help, we can improve and transform the services we provide to benefit our residents.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 6th October at midnight.

Interviews are likely to take place on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th October 2019.
