Information Security Architect - Gaydon The OpportunityYou will have the opportunity to be part of our client's £14bn investment, as a central part of shaping the technology strategy and direction of the growing security function.

You will report into Head of Security Architecture and work closely with the wider Information Technology Management community to ensure that the appropriate technologies are implemented, as well as contribute to the design, build, test, and implementation of core security systems within our IT systems.As we're at early stages of building and creating our capability, the role will also involve designing additional security controls where required and aiding delivery via Information Security Programme. You will identify information security threats and vulnerabilities, assess information security risks and advise the relevant team on appropriate methods and security configurations to protect and prevent impact to business systems.The position will require you to support the development of our overall security architecture and provide guidance for Security programmes & projects via governance process and ad-hoc advice, ensuring alignment to enterprise view. You will also be responsible for authoring security architecture artefacts (principles, policies, standards and patterns) in conjunctions with the Enterprise Architecture teams and maintain these artefacts within the relevant management systems. Also, you will be required to monitor and review change control requests with information security impact. The successful candidate will remain up to date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products, as well as develop an in-depth understanding of our security and overall IT environment to improve the security over time.The FitYou will have a background in Information Security and ideally hold advanced IT security certifications such as CISSP, as well as knowledge of information security principles and best practices with commercial experience of experience in managing information security risks. The ability to present to stakeholders of all levels will be important, as you will be required to promote Information Security across the organisation and implement security training.The successful candidate will be an individual with a customer first mindset but will also be results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment. We're looking for ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.We're looking for a passionate individual, whom is passionate for keeping abreast of trends in information security, to work within a fast-paced environment and be able to propose proactive mitigation as appropriate.
