Job Role:My client are looking for a Junior/Midlevel PHP/Magento developer to join our team. Working on eCommerce projects, you will have a passion for PHP and a willingness to learn Magento.We are currently undergoing a project to convert all of our Magento 1 websites into Magento 2 alongside developing new stores to promote new products and adding new functions and features to increase conversions.This is a varied and exciting role for the right person who is willing to lean whilst working outside of your current comfort zone. Key responsibilities:Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce you will join a small department of developers, designers and digital marketing specialists who are responsible for all of our ecommerce brands online.Working alongside our other developers and Manager's to ensure milestones are metTo keep up to date with the latest technologies.Review and develop existing websites to ensure usability, best practice.Participate in project & deployment planning.Must be a self-starter & be able to work with supervision and guidanceDeveloping Mobile first Person Specification:This is a junior development position so these skills are desirable and not necessary as training and support will be given along the wayDesirable skills:Knowledge of Magento at any levelKnowledge of MVC frameworks and OO PHPMySql or equivalent database softwareLESS or SASS CSS pre-processingKnowledge of server installation and configuration using the LAMP stackExperience in multi-store, multi-lingual, or multi-currency implementationsOverall you will need a keen eye for detail and possess a willingness to get hands on and learn from those around you, whilst also taking the initiative to learn on the job.About us:It's a relaxed working environment.
