£21,000 - £23,000 + Mon-Thursday role + Overtime + Training + Pension + holiday

Are you a CNC Machinist looking for a role where you only work 4 days a week Monday to Thursday?

In this role you will report to the CNC Production Manager and will be expected to set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines as well as handling, loading and setting fixture plates and support jigs onto 3-axis and 4-axis machines in a one-off or low batch machining environment. You will work on the back shift which is 14:30 to midnight Monday to Thursday with the opportunity to come in early to pick up overtime.

The ideal candidate will ideally be time served, have previous experience in a machining environment and have the ability to read and interpret 2D machining drawings.

*Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines.

*Mon - Thursday - 2:30 to midnight

*Work to tight machining tolerances and check your own work.

*Use manual measuring equipment, e.g. micrometers, verniers, thread gauges.

*Work to 2D drawings and job specificationsThe person:

*Ideally time-served apprentice / engineer in mechanical engineering

*Previous experience in a machining environment

*Ability to read and interpret 2D machining drawings
