Constantly having to adapt to the ever changing nature of the industry, they are always working on exciting industry first projects and require and talented software engineer to join the team.As a senior software engineer, you will be responsible for the end to end development of systems used for the research and development of products within the aeronautical industry. Working within a small but very experienced specialist team you will reverse engineer legacy code in Fortran to modern day languages! Due to the ever changing nature of the industry, you will be exposed to industry first project and products up to 10 years before production!Perfect opportunity for a Fortran developer looking for a long term and technically interesting role with a business that will value your experience and allow you to learn new modern day languages.The Role:

* Senior Software engineer

* Development of software used to control and process data

* Transformation of legacy software into modern programming languages

* Legacy code; Fortran

* Modern; C++ and/or Python

* Aeronautical / aerospace industry

* Long term and technically interesting permanent roleThe Person:* Knowledge of Fortran

* Looking to learn new languages C++ and/or Python

* Interested in the aerospace / aeronautical industry

* Degree or equivalent in Applied Mathematics, Physics or Aeronautical Engineering

* Experienced Software engineering
