We are working with one of the leading Pharmacy software solutions companies in the UK. As they are now undertaking several greenfield strategic projects to align with their core products, they're looking for a skilled Data Warehouse Developer to join their team in Leyland. About the job This Data Warehouse Developer role will see you involved in a key project, focusing on a next generation product suite.
You'll join an experienced team of developers, testers, Product Owner/BA and Scrum Master, based in the UK and Spain.
You will be actively involved in the Scrum framework, including daily stand ups and Sprint reviews, and participate in design workshops and code reviews. You'll be working on solution development and maintenance of high quality software applications, enabling the business and their clients to store, query, retrieve, report and visualise important data in a highly efficient way. Who are we looking for? You'll be best suited to this role if you have a proactive, positive approach and really enjoy getting involved and being very hands on.
It's a fast paced and busy environment, so you will need to able to remain calm under pressure and manage your time and work effectively, whilst collaborating and communicating with the wider team.
A naturally inquisitive individual, you'll look at solutions and innovations, or applying new technologies, to help improve and support the development process.
You'll have very high standards and a clear passion and dedication to their work. You will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: C# and/or Java RDBMS Databases - PostgreSQL. MSSQL or Oracle Data Integration (e.g. Pentaho PDI) Data Warehousing techniques Business intelligence / Analysis Agile development methods and practices (e.g. XP, Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Integration, Refactoring). If you have any of the following skills or experience, this would be a real bonus; XML/XSD/XSLT NoSQL and Big Data (e.g. Apache Cassandra) Dimensional modelling techniques (e.g. Star Schema) Use of the Atlassian toolset including JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, GIT and BitBucket. Pharmacy or healthcare domain knowledge What are they offering?
