Lead Mechanical Quantity SurveyorDenmarkSalary: £80,000 - £100,000 + EUR27,000 Living Allowance + Accommodation + TravelJob Ref: JR684631Rotation: 10 days in country, 4 days off out of countryA major multinational main contractor is urgently seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Denmark. You will be working on a hyperscale data centre construction project worth over EUR500 million. This is a great opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to work for a company that has an impressive portfolio of specialist construction projects secured across Europe and the entire world.Lead Mechanical Quantity Surveyor based in DenmarkResponsible for the overall day to day management of the commercial and surveying aspects of new build, refurb and design and build projectsLead Mechanical Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities and DutiesThe job of the Lead Mechanical Quantity Surveyor will involve the following:Manage/monitor all commercial aspects of projects.Pricing and assessment of variations and contract entitlement NegotiationSubcontract administrationResponsible for cost controllingLiaising with all parties from initial enquiries through to final accountsActively work with Project Managers relating to contract variationsIdentify areas of risk/scope and develop with the project teamManage take off Bill of Quants (BoQ)Produce control document when project securedReview proposals with Designers and select/agree subcontractor enquiryLead procurement of subcontract works packagesOrganise and chair subcontract settlementsProvide support in respect to legal/contract issues associated with the projectAttend post tender/pre-qual interviews and report accordinglyAttend site meetings as necessaryInput to the supply chain/preferred suppliers for constructional elements in conjunction with project teams for subcontractors/suppliersLead Mechanical Quantity Surveyor RequirementsThe ideal Lead Mechanical Quantity Surveyor will have:Mechanical or MEP biasComputer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.Clear and concise verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and logical skillsData-Centre or other similar high-tech facility experience (pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, etc.) To Apply for the position of Lead Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, or to find out what other opportunities we can offer in the data centre construction sector, please contact Joe Raymond at Project Resource Ltd.Services advertised by Project Resource are that of an Employment Agency/Business.
