Pre-Sales Consultant | Surrey / London / Home Based | circa 70,000 Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a key client, based in Surrey, as they look to appoint a Pre-Sales Consultant to advise, guide and assist the sales process with current and prospective customers. If you can provide technical account management for our clients` managed services customers and assist with defining and planning technical strategy, vendor relationships and input into our clients future services, wed like to hear from you today. THE BASICS: Pre-Sales Consultants who can provide pre-sales technical support and assistance to a sales team, consult and create solution designs and proposals that meet customer requirements and work with sales and marketing teams as a technical subject matter expert (SME), will be of interest. Assisting in solution scoping and design for prospects and upselling to existing customers and reviewing and recommending new technologies to improve services or customer environments is also important. THE PRE-REQUISITES: Consultants with a professional qualification such as MCSE, CCNA plus degree (or equivalent) are likely to receive an immediate interview request.Selling professional services such as capacity planning, security audits, performance optimisation, customer premise deployments and migrations will form part of your role. Creating technical documentation within core competency and proposal creation to internal and external stakeholders and advising management of any improvements or technical changes recommended to improve the performance is also part of your parameter. Attendance at customer sites to assist sales or initial consultancy could also be necessary. Pre-sales, solution architecture and technical understanding of the following is integral to this role:
Data centre hosting environments
Server and desktop virtualisation
Hyper-Converged infrastructure
Data storage, management and backup technologies
Data networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
Information security tools and technologies
Network, systems and security monitoring and management
MS Azure IaaS and PaaS environment design, configuration and billing
Core Microsoft products including Microsoft 365 E3/E5 suite THE DESIRABLES: PRINCE2 Foundation, ITIL v3 Foundation, TOGAF or other recognised systems architecture qualification will be highly desired. Our client is looking for experience in a commercial IT Solutions or Managed Services provider environment with an ability to thrive in a dynamic and busy environment. In this role you will be based at HQ (Nr Guildford), with some client visits (predominantly in the South East of England) and the option for 1 day a week, working from home.
