API Developer - WSO2 / API / SQL

£440 per day

My client is looking for an experienced API developer to create, re-factor and test enterprise APIs. This department supports and enhances world-class learning, teaching, research and administration through IT. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of web services that conform to the REST architectural style as well as other relevant web technologies such as XML, XSLT and JSON.

Also, will need to show you understand how to apply coding standards and practices and be experienced in using version control software such as Git. Knowledge of Linux would also be advantageous. The successful candidate will need to use current best-practice development techniques and learn and apply Agile and DevOps. The APIs are varied as the department provides hundreds of services, and developers get the opportunity to broaden not only their knowledge of different technologies but to develop their architectural understanding of the whole stack and their technical leadership skills.
