Data Centre - Programme Manager

Cambridge

£450-£500 per day

Initially 13 weeks with the potential to extend to 6-12 months

The requirement is for local authorities / councils:

Plan the delivery of the overall Data Centre programme and its activities from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and tasks and activities with any associated processes.

Work with senior stakeholders, both within CCC and partners to define and shape the programme, including prioritising the order of works based on business needs.

Keep senior management informed with appropriately detailed reports or presentations

Lead and keep under review the allocation of resources to prioritise projects, making adjustments as required to ensure key objectives are met whilst managing competing demands.

Qualifications/Experience:

Degree in the relevant subject area, Project Management Prince2/MSP/LEAN practitioner qualification or demonstrable relevant experience, Management qualification ILM, DMS, Managing successful programmes in programme delivery

Technical knowledge of complex technical environments, knowledge of MS office and programme management software

Knowledge:

Excellent knowledge of the Local Government environment, complex networked shared services and delivering to stringent SLAs

Skills:

Strong project/programme management skills with the ability to manage complex. Multifaceted projects/programmes across multiple locations and customers. Able to manage complex programmes in a fast-paced environment.

Able to take a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating and managing uncertainty. Able to communicate the plan to a range of stakeholders.

Able to manage risks, issues and interdependencies across multiple customers, teams and departments.

Highly developed influencing skills and able to persuade stakeholders at all levels

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Experience:

Proven ability to work effectively with IT delivery, customers and suppliers.

Experience of working with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group.

Engaging with subcontracted 3rd parties to ensure delivery to the contracted service.

Experience of resource management in matrix environment.

Significant experience of leading major high-profile programmes within an agreed parameter of time, cost and quality.

Demonstrable results in managing complex projects and experience with negotiating win-wind agreements
