Cloud Consultant | up to 525/day | Surrey & Client Site(s)

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently seeking an Infrastructure Cloud Consultant for one of our key clients; a managed cloud, infrastructure and IT consultancy provider based in Surrey.

The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical consultancy to our client and their UK client base, assisting with defining and planning technical strategy, standards and their future services roadmap.

THE BASICS:

As Infrastructure Cloud Consultant you will assist in the Pre-sales / Project & Service Management process as a technical subject matter expert (SME) to ensure designs fulfil both customer requirements and operational standards.

Consultants will review and recommend new technologies to improve our clients service and provide hands-on configuration of complex and custom components for project implementations and service improvements/changes.

You will be responsible for creating comprehensive technical documentation within core competency areas, for internal and external use and provide presentation of written or oral reports, including proposal creation, to internal and external stakeholders.

If you have experience consulting with new and existing customers to deliver value added professional services such as capacity planning, security audits, performance optimisation, customer premise deployments and migrations then this may be the role for you!

KEY SKILLS:

Consultants should have several years experience in a client facing technical consultancy role, be highly motivated, confident and ambitious with meticulous approach to work and of course excellent interpersonal & communication, documentation and presentation skills. Experience of DaaS, PaaS & IaaS is essential to be considered for this position coupled with solid understanding around Public Cloud experience: Azure & AWS.

Infrastructure Cloud Consultants will be experienced around Data centre hosting (Private Cloud), Virtualisation (server and desktop), O365, Networking, Authentication, Security, Desktop & Skype for Business.

Best practice awareness in security and investigation (including penetration testing method ans an awareness and exposure to ISO, G-Cloud and PSN standards and requirements is also important.

DESIRABLE:

Any candidate with experience of Dell and HP server-based environments, Hyper-V and/or VMWare or SAN storage; design, performance tuning, implementations and upgrades is likely to result in an immediate interview request.

If you have additional knowledge around Active Directory, Microsoft SQL, Exchange, Solarwinds, Cisco Networks, ASA, switching, routing and firewalls then you will be highly sought after.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential: Professional qualifications such as MCSE, CCNA and degree (or equivalent) ITIL V3

Desirable: PRINCE2 Foundation qualified or certification around partners AWS / Azure / Dell EMC.
