Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Chiswick, West London

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

My client a world leading media organisation is currently looking for someone to join their IT department as a Senior Project Manager. Your main purpose within the team will be to take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and completion of medium-scale projects meeting firm deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

*Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders.

*Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.

*Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off.

*Provides effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances

*Validates that suppliers' performance is in accordance with contract terms.

*Engages proactively and collaboratively with suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance.

*Implements supplier management-related service improvement initiatives and programmes.

Skills

*Full knowledge of relevant system development life-cycles.

*Appreciates contracting procedures within the organisation and has some experience in the development and operation of an SLA.

*Pays attention to detail and has good interpersonal skills.

*Demonstrates fantastic leadership.

*Assesses and evaluates risk.

Desirable Skills

*Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives.

*Analyses, designs, plans, implements and evaluates work to time, cost and quality targets.

*Analyses requirements and advises on scope and options for continuous operational improvement.

*Demonstrates excellent creativity, innovation and ethical thinking in applying solutions for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder.

*Advises on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialism and can make appropriate choices from alternatives.

*Experience of delivering IT systems through the delivery cycle

*Experience of working in regulated industries such as Pharmaceuticals or Food.
