Senior Systems Engineer

Would you like to play a key role within our business around engineering/business transformation activities? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Systems Engineer at our site in Portsmouth.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be assisting in the development of a streamlined end to end engineering/business process across multiple parts of the business.

This role will provide you with the exciting opportunity to work with minimal supervision, whilst resolving engineering issues and problems for a range of products and engineering situations.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Systems Engineer will involve:

Providing Systems Engineering support to the various projects, bids and improvement initiatives as required, producing relevant artefacts as required.

Supporting the development of strategies around system development across a typical lifecycle, from requirement elicitation through to qualification, including integration, verification and validation activities.

Consulting with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient engagement in support of system realisation

Your skills and qualifications: Essential:

Significant system engineering experience aligned to and across ISO 15288 lifecycle

 

Clear 'systems thinker' capable of applying holistically thinking to all problems

 

Strong understanding of technical process design and cross business integration

Strong awareness of product safety and SHE Desirable:

Has or is willing to work towards Chartered status with an institute aligned with the UK Engineering Council

 

INCOSE ASEP qualified or working towards ASEP status or equivalent

 

Degree qualified in the relevant Engineering field or relevant experience
