We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead Developer to join one of our Squads in Advisor Operational Experience. You will become part of a dynamic and effective agile team that deliver Identity and Access Management solutions which enable our technical transformation.
The purpose of this role is to help lead, set standards and perform code reviews for the development team as well as to support the development of new code. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary squad which operate with a Product Owner and Scrum Master. It is essential the Lead can support the team working in a busy and fast paced environment, as well as ensure standards remain high.You will provide technical guidance across the squad, drive best practice, ensure technical requirements are delivered as agreed and engage closely with other programs of work in Royal London as well as the architecture teams.

What you will be doing
Drive the delivery of complex solutions within own area of expertise
Provide technical advice and guidance to other software developers, proactively and reactively
Will ensure relevant design is agreed and documented
Will lead review of others' work
Carry out impact assessment of complex changes to existing applications
Will deliver code that meets Group standards, guidelines and quality gates for given technology
Will ensure all code is thoroughly tested
Will ensure technical solutions are safely implemented to production environment(s) without impact to internal or external customers
Encourage close collaboration with other disciplines within the team
Manage dependencies with other teams
Continually looks for operational and process improvements to deliver effective change efficiently.
Take an active role on the transfer of knowledge and sharing of experiences relating to own area of technical expertise at practice level
What we're looking for
A strong understanding of service-oriented and event-driven web architectures
Sound knowledge of system development techniques and industry best practices
Experience of the following tools and technologies are essential
.NET/C#
SQL Server
Ability to share technical experience and knowledge, and lead and mentor other developers
An adaptable approach to work and comfortable working in a fast paced, reactive workplace
Ability to cope with high-levels of pressure involving high profile projects, and take ownership for the team's delivery
Demonstrable experience of ability to work with different coding languages, and keep up to date with innovations in these
Experience within supporting junior colleagues and sharing best practice
Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
Comfortable collaborating with different business areas
