VENDOR & CONTRACTS MANAGER

At ScottishPower we see how IT and digital influences every aspect of our business - it's an enabler at a technology and a society level. We use a surprising breadth and variety of technologies here, with a serious investment in our people and in our capabilities to help shape our direction and growth. With our commitment to produce all of our energy from renewable resources, our opportunities to innovate are only just beginning. ScottishPower is part of the Iberdrola Group, one of the world's largest integrated utility companies and a world leader in wind energy.  ScottishPower is the first integrated energy company in the UK to generate 100% green electricity. Our focus is on wind energy, smart grids and driving the change to a cleaner, electric future and we're investing over £4m every working day to make this happen. We're committed to speeding up the transition to cleaner electric transport, improving air quality and over time, driving down bills.  Purpose As part of the Iberdrola Group, our focus is on wind energy, smart grids, and driving change and as part of that we are working on a major IT Transformation project. As our Vendor and Contracts Manager, you'll play a critical role in that transformation, overseeing a budget of £18 million in UK IT contracts and a further £10 million in global contracts, with around 250 IT Maintenance & Service contract renewals per year. It's about managing strategic relationships with global vendors, developing and implementing effective negotiating strategies and processes, aligning the whole of UK IT contract placement, extensions and renewals, and acting as the UK global Vendor Management Office contact to produce a global view of IT supplier management. Responsibilities You'll define and agree strategies for negotiation with each IT supplier, including direct negotiations to deliver efficiencies with third party IT costs.  This will include the evaluation of new and modified service requirements and agree the required Maintenance & Service contract changes to support them. As our Global Vendor and Contracts Manager, you'll also help develop and populate an IT supplier's portal with Iberdrola colleagues to build a clear view of all supplier relationships, recommending changes to supplier engagement models where you see improvements can be made. Skills & Requirements With extensive experience in high value IT contract management, preferably working on a global aspect, you'll possess the analytical skills and focus on detail to inform decisions which will make a real difference to our IT contract structure across the UK and the Iberdrola Group - it's a cross cultural role, so a working knowledge of Spanish would be an asset.  As a team player, you'll work at a senior level both in the UK and globally with our highly professional procurement and legal teams. It's a big opportunity for a qualified and experienced IT professional to make a real impact on a rapidly expanding IT function.    What We Offer: This is a permanent contract. Salary for this role will be from £53,560 to £66,950 per annum. Other benefits for this role include a performance related bonus up to 15%, family cover health care and car allowance. As part of our commitment to a supportive and inclusive place to work, we recognise that our employees have different personal circumstances and want a suitable work-life balance. We are working hard to support flexible and alternative ways of working where possible including: Flexible Working, Shared Parental Leave, Career Breaks, Wellbeing / Employee Assistance Programme.  You will also have access to our flexible benefits programme where you can decide what is important for you. ‘Happy to talk flexible working'
