As a Project Manager, you will be managing all stages of the delivery of all lifecycle projects from initial feasibility and design through to completion on site and handover of the asset to the Facilities Management team.Your projects will be varied in scale and complexity; ranging from lifecycle replacement of plant and equipment values between £25k and £1.0million; to office and laboratory fit outs ranging from £200k to £1.5 million; and minor works up to £50k."You will be responsible for leading and delivering a number of projects across the portfolio at any given time. These will form discreet projects but will be integrated into a wider programme and as such, being aware of the inter-dependencies and impacts will be critical. The post-holder will be responsible for the accurate forecasting and reporting on all projects. You will be responsible for leading and delivering a number of projects at any given time. Due to the nature of the role there may be periods of overtime or weekend working work depending therefore some flexibility will be required at these times.

Essential Skills

Experience using the NEC suite of contracts, and ideally with experience using various other forms of contract.First-rate project/programme management skills. Able to manage a varied portfolio of work, tight programmes, adapt to changing circumstances and prioritise work/resources.Strong appreciation of the importance of H&S, together with relevant training (asbestos, CDM,, etc) and appropriate level of CSCS card.Demonstrable experience in relation to statutory compliance and risk management.Proven experience to deliver a portfolio of projects, with detailed project management of works in an occupied and live environment on projects ranging from small value up to circa £2 millionAdept at managing complex stakeholder relationships, with a diplomatic and collaborative approach, natural interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels.The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across functional boundaries, where flexibility and a 'can do' approach to teamwork is essential.Proven experience of budget management, cost control, contract management and report writing, ideally gained within a value for money environment.Good people management and contractor relationship management skills.A logical problem solver with good judgement and decision making capability. Able to remain level-headed under pressure.Genuinely passionate about and familiar with a customer-driven approach to the delivery of property services,with a rigorous approach to standards of internal customer service and continuous improvement.IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office, and ideally experience of project planning softwareHold a relevant professional qualification (eg APM/RICS) and substantial experience within the property / construction sector
