My telecoms client who are based UK Wide are looking for a service sales lead/ Deal Architect for an initial 12 month contract. Location wise they are looking for someone to be based out of London, Cardiff, Manchester, Bristol, or Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The client are looking for someone to adapt to a services focussed business environment, W&V are executing a strategy of defining and launching new go to market services. To deliver on this strategy, W&V are building a design team to define, build out and support the sales of our service portfolio.
The Service Sales Lead will be directly responsible for forecasting, identifying and converting services sales opportunities into new contracts. The services portfolio cover diverse areas, from managed networks and CPE, through property services, data centre services, consulting and virtualization offerings. The required skills cover sales support, service design (within defined boundaries), contract authorship, costing and pricing, customer negotiation, and customer relationship management.
The role holder will;
*Work directly with customers and account teams to identify service opportunities, create services solutions and upsell the value
*Use the go to market services published by BTW, designing and implementing specific instances of such services and solutions for a customer. Where possible, design will account for specific customer variance, but adhere to the standard services wherever possible
*Be versed in the service portfolio, demonstrating deep knowledge in at least one of the services, from managed networks and CPE, through property services, data centre services, consulting and virtualization offerings
*Work with the services designers, account teams and customers, customizing services for specific opportunities where necessary (and enabled through service portfolio design), defining the SoW, cost and price, service design, operational transition approach and contractual support materials to convert opportunities to contractual status
*Work with various functions within BT to convert a service sale from start to finish, a wide background in services sales experience is required to fulfil the role. Must have worked in a services sales role previously.
*Excellent oral and written communication; can simplify and articulate complex subjects to enable sales
*Manage their own work stack to manage multiple sales opportunities in parallel
*Work closely with Service Designers, utilising standard services collateral and configuration policy to create bespoke services and meet tight deadlines in a project environment
*Demonstrate a working knowledge of one or more of the following; Service Desk, NC, Data Centres, SDN
*Work within a tightly controlled offer cycle review and governance process
*Capture, manage, and implement changes to service portfolio items where necessary, gaining stakeholder agreement across BT
