The Digital Policing Innovation Team have a vacancy for a Digital Programme Manager. Based at Wakefield Headquarters this is a permanent full-time role that following a successful induction period offers the opportunity of agile working.

As part of the Digital Innovation Team you will influence the future technology composition and direction of West Yorkshire Police. You will manage and oversee the implementation of innovative new technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organisation.

Delivering a wide and varied portfolio within IT you will support this programme of work at national, regional and local force level.

Sitting within the Information Technology area of Digital Policing this post is one of two Digital Programme Manager posts within the department. In addition, there are line management responsibilities for the Digital Programme Team consisting Digital Project Mangers, Digital Business Analysts and Digital Project Support Officers.

To apply for this role you must have substantial experience of delivery of a portfolio or programme at a senior level within a complex, dynamic environment. You must be able to demonstrate pragmatic problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to lead, motivate and develop the members of your team. Qualifications in Prince 2 or other project methodologies are advantageous, as is a background in criminal justice or policing.

This role will involve some travel throughout West Yorkshire and nationally in support of the programme of work.
