Junior Systems Administrator, great opportunity, niche market, growing company

As the Junior Systems Administrator you will be responsible for both Linux and Windows tasks for an exciting start-up who are in the IoT space.

My client is looking to hire a Junior Sys Admin who is motivated and has an attitude to grow and develop their skills and knowledge.

Below are the key tasks and key skills from both a Windows and Linux point of view.

Windows tasks:

-Assist with any active directory related issues

-Support Microsoft Azure in relation to multi factor authentication

-Creating new user accounts

-Supporting Office 365 and setting up SharePoint sites.

-Building new PCs for new users and help find a trusted supplier of ready built PCs

-Implementing a robust cloud backup solution

-Debugging hardware faults on local servers

-Writing relevant documentation

Linux tasks:

-Knowledgeable in Ubuntu 18.04 and CentOS 7

-Setting up new VMs

-Recommending and implementing open source software solutions

-Managing local Gitlab instances

-Backing up VM data to the cloud

-Knowledgeable about Kerberos and sssd

-Supporting the software team with any scripting/automation requirements

-Providing best practice solutions
