At NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) we know that sound communication and donor management are key to achieving improved outcomes for our patients. It's a fundamental part of our goal to be the best donation service in the world for blood, organs, tissues and stem cells. And that's why we need a committed, multi-talented Deputy Marketing Systems Manager to make it happen.
Reporting into the Marketing Systems Manager, you will support on the delivery and development of Donor Management. This includes managing invitations to blood donor sessions, developing our IT and contact systems, handling complaints and liaising with a range of internal and external partners to innovate and improve our service. As such, gathering and analysing data on the effectiveness of our communications is a key element of the role.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in leadership and management, as you will guide a team that delivers the key steps in the donor management process. You will provide training and be expected to deputise for the Marketing Systems Manager at meetings when required. Occasionally you will travel to NHSBT and supplier sites throughout the UK to conduct visits and attend meetings.
You'll have a highly developed specialist knowledge of data selection processes for direct marketing, along with knowledge in direct communications management including email, SMS and telephone. You'll also be comfortable analysing large amounts of data and developing strategies to improve services on a limited budget.
You should be comfortable managing people and resources to achieve set objectives, including providing training. You should also be able to deal with difficult situations carefully and tactfully.
In terms of qualifications, you'll be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience.
