An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an IT Systems Manager for my client located in London to oversee the daily technology operations within a rapidly growing and evolving environment.The selected candidate will report into the Head of IT, and other Technology teams. The IT Systems Manager will be part of a key role in the design, management, and ongoing enhancement of IT and business systems. The IT Systems Manager will have the opportunity to contribute towards the definition of the Digital Transformation Strategy and will work closely with software vendors, managed support partners and developers. Main responsibilities:Manage the starter, movers, and leavers processManage incidents, service requests, change requests, and problem management ticketsMange the major incident management process and ensure the business communication is managed effectivelyManage the IT asset register, device rollout and maintain stock levelsAnalyse and monitor current system performance and make suggestions for improvementsEnsure systems are up to date and fit for purpose by engaging with business stakeholders and third-party suppliersManage super users and end-users access controls across all business applicationsMaintain documentation library covering systems, process mappings and data flows for all systems is kept up to dateEnsure all systems are carefully maintained (Administration/Patching/Upgrades)Create reports on request for senior managersBuild and maintain relationships with internal and external auditorsEnsure all network devices, servers and workstations security levels are aligned to company policiesManage application security across all sites including cloud appsDevelop documentation, build test procedures, and define resources to deliver service continuity in the event of a loss of the datacentre, application platform or office networksDefine project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of valueThe Candidate:Experience and knowledge of systems development lifecycle concepts used to plan, develop, implement, operate, and maintain IT systems and servicesStrong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with an emphasis on Windows 10Experience in working with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Mimecast email security systemsExperience implementing, running, improving business systems example: HR and rostering systemsManage major incidents, assimilate large amounts of information, and present it in summary form to stakeholders together with recommendationsKnowledge and experience working with Microsoft Azure and other cloud technologiesBe able to demonstrate examples of working across other departments to add value and translate their business requirements into solutionsPossess excellent communication skills with a proactive approach ensuring stakeholders are kept up to dateAbility to work successfully within a geographically distributed team and to build effective working relationshipsAbility to communicate across all levels of the business up to director levelPersonable, diplomatic, and approachable, with an enthusiastic and motivational nature and an overall passion for service excellenceIf this role is something of interest please apply via the add, or alternatively please contact Stephanie Otoo on 0131 558 4800 or .
