What we're looking for:

An experienced Enterprise Architect with deep specialist knowledge of the Infrastructure domain and of Cloud infrastructure in particular.

You will be supporting a major technology transformation programme and several large business transformations, many of which are using or migrating to a Cloud platform (AWS).

Your experience will include AWS, Azure or GCP, SD-WAN, application centric networking, on premise data centre experience and data centre migration, automation, containerisation, virtualisation, databases, storage, HA / DR, DevOps / CICD and information security.

Who you'll be working with:

This is an exciting time to join the Technology Services team at Direct Line Group and we're looking for curious minds, status-quo challengers and critical thinkers who will bring a fresh perspective to our team.

You will be part of the Enterprise Architecture team in the Chief Technology Office at DLG, working closely with solution architects, security specialists and other technical teams.

What you'll be doing:

Drive the development of infrastructure strategy and roadmaps for the governance of all infrastructure change through an architecture design authority

Develop and maintain current and future state views of the infrastructure architecture in our EA modelling tool (iServer) using the ArchiMate modelling standard

Build and promote infrastructure architecture patterns, reference architectures and standards and make these available to the architecture community

Support the implementation of Cloud infrastructure processes, tooling and teams to drive the take-up of Cloud infrastructure and to optimise its use.

Guiding and working in collaboration with internal and external architects.

Make decisions quickly, allowing projects to deliver using agile methodologies while maintaining alignment to technology and business strategy

Drive innovative use of new technologies into the organisation - scanning the market for opportunities, helping to develop business cases for new initiatives and developing new architectures to support the implementation of new components

Support the development of the EA team, building positive relationships across the organisation and increasing the visibility of EA and the CTO to key stakeholders

What we'll give you:

Join us and you'll find yourself in the middle of one of the most active teams in the business, with autonomy and exposure to major technology transformation initiatives. We're always encouraging internal development, and you'll have access to many learning opportunities, events and conferences to build your industry and technical knowledge.
