What we're looking for:

We are looking for an expert Application Owner to join the Application and Development team, specifically, the Finance Technology team as we undertake a significant set of initiatives to achieve several outcomes!

We need your help replacing the Oracle Finance eBusiness Suite (hardware and applications) with an Oracle Fusion ERP thereby taking advantage of cloud technology which will maintain usability with DLG technology and add new capabilities!

You will help us stay in sync with new accounting standards for insurance contracts (IFRS17) which will change how DLG measure the profit/loss from insurance contracts and how we calculate reserves.

Insurance experience is not essential, what is important is that you as an individual are a self-starter who has championed core technologies and used these to drive business benefits and outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

Using your Oracle ERP skills, financial acumen and your interpersonal skills, to build and shape the strategy to deliver high-end solutions; covering General Ledger, Consolidation, Master Data, reconciliations for our Finance division.

Coordinate, guide and support the planning and delivery of changes to finance applications and develop and implement an assurance approach

Automation and engineering to enable Straight through processing as well as Automation of adjustments and traceability of data

Increase data quality and integrity through automation and standardisation

Solid experience in data management, processing management and financial management.

Superb communication, planning, stakeholder management and risk management skills to bridge between the silos and bring different teams together to work towards a common goal

Define platform level technical standards (aligned to DLG technical standards)

Required Skills, Finance domain, Oracle ERP product range, Informatica (10.2) toolset

Back-end: PL/SQL, Oracle databases, Redwood RMJ (batch scheduling)

Software engineering experience (design, development, QA) utilising agile delivery methods (SCRUM, Kanban)

Experience of Linux or Unix operating systems

Technology security and risk management, Software release planning and implementation
