Business Analyst (Retail Life Insurance) - Contract - SydneyProgressive Recruitment is working with one of our key clients and resourcing for a Business Analyst with a minimum of 2 years experience in Retail Life Insurance. Our Client are one of Australia's leading life insurance providers, covering over 1.5 million Australians for more than 130 years and over 1600 employees nationwide. You will be based out of their North Sydney office. The Insurance Business Analyst will be an analytical problem solver with a a proven background in working with actuarial calculations and providing testing for Retail Life Insurance Products which will sit in the Project testing team who are supporting the migration to a new Policy Administration System. This will require building knowledge of legacy Life Products and systems, identifying suitable business scenarios for testing, execute testing, identify any defects and potential issues that differ from the relevant requirements. Accountabilities:Perform analysis and review complex formulae in actuarial calculations.Identify suitable business scenarios, with pragmatic and risk based principles for testing Design and execute testing based on the identified business scenarios Prepare and collate required system go-live dataUndertake the task given incorporating advice/direction within given timelinesBeing clear and thorough in documentation and ensuring traceability and approvals are evidencedMUST HAVE Skills & Experience:Australian Retail Life Insurance Experience 2 years + (must)

Good understanding of key life insurance concepts is requiredStrong technical and analytical skillsExtensive Excel experience working with large amounts of dataStrong Microsoft Excel skillsIntermediate to advanced macro/VBA skills and SQL skillsHave some project experienceHave professional business acumen to be able communicate and influence key stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication skillAbility to accept and adapt to changing prioritiesAbility to view big picture and go into detail where requiredBeing proactive and have a pragmatic approachAble to prioritise workloads with changing prioritiesPrevious MLC Life Insurance knowledge (nice to have)Systems /Data/Model testing experience, with PAS migration experience (nice to ave)Previous Business transformation experience (nice to have)If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience, please apply now.
