As our new Director of Digital Technology you will lead digital health delivery across Board services to ensure current and future digital technology needs are delivered in the most effective and efficient way. Ongoing modernisation of our digital infrastructure is pivotal to our wide reaching transformation agenda.
You will lead planning, coordinating and design of all IT infrastructure covering clinical and business processes, including leadership of Health Records as well as provide expert direction for digital solutions that support clinical and non clinical processes. With responsibility for information security, you will ensure the Board meets its statutory requirements.
With significant experience at a senior level in strategic and operational management in a healthcare or equivalent complex organisation, you will have the personal credibility and interpersonal skills to lead and deliver in a politically sensitive and demanding role.  You will have a significant track record of leading large scale IT programmes and projects through the full project life cycle from planning business case, sourcing/procurement and implementation.
Educated to postgraduate level, or equivalent, you will have substantial leadership experience, gained within an operationally complex organisation comparable in scale to health care or the wider public or commercial sectors. Comprehensive understanding of current developments within the IT market place is essential. You will ensure that the vision, direction and clinical strategy for the Board are fully enabled by digital processes, change and innovation.
NHS Tayside is the fourth largest healthcare provider in Scotland and one of only four teaching Boards. With strong links to local Universities, the Board provides tertiary services to around 350,000 people across Tayside and North East Fife, employing over over 13,000 staff across three hospital and many other sites. Primary and community care services are currently organised into three Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs) in Dundee city, Perth and Kinross and Angus which are overseen by Integration Joint Boards. Our ambition is to be regarded as a sector leader in the provision of high quality patient care.
