IT Project Manager

£60,000 - £70,000 + bonus + perm benefits

A global leading organisation based in London is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to ensure efficient delivery of projects in accordance with standards and procedures. Ideally the Project Manager will have extensive experience of project and programme management gained in a corporate environment. My client is currently going through a large transformation change project and will require previous experience of implementing global platforms with a proven track record of working with senior business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

*Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects (typically with direct business impact and firm deadlines).

*Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.

*Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders.

*Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.

*Ensures Quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure.

*Manages the change control procedure, and ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off.

*Provides effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances

*Collects supplier performance data and investigates problems.

*Monitors and reports on supplier performance in project delivery, customer satisfaction, and market intelligence.

*Validates that suppliers' performance is in accordance with contract terms.

*Engages proactively and collaboratively with suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance.

*Implements supplier management-related service improvement initiatives and programmes.

Basic Skills/Experience

*Broadly skilled in information and communications technology.

*Has a comprehensive knowledge of relevant system development life-cycles.

*Is familiar with the requirements of the organisation for systems, products and services and with the use of systems, products and services and/or components provided by suppliers.

*Appreciates contracting procedures within the organisation and has some experience in the development and operation of an SLA.

*Has sound commercial, organisational and time management skills.

*Pays attention to detail and has good interpersonal skills.
