Information Security Assurance Consultant- Birmingham- 6 month Fixed Term Contract

New and Exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Information Security Assurance Consultant looking for the next stage in their career. As part of a small and well-respected team within our leading financial services organisation, the Information Security Assurance Consultant will have exposure to a wide range of information and cyber security controls and frameworks both within our own business and at our key outsourced service providers. Additionally, you will take the lead on several key areas and will have the chance to really make a difference. Your Responsibilities would include:Contributing to and maintaining the Information Security framework, meeting Group Policy and regulatory requirementssupport the, implementation, operation and maintenance of a robust Information Security Management System (ISMS)Providing Information Security advice, support and assistance to the business to ensure compliance with Policies and Standardsreporting in relation to Information Security Internal Audit and External Audit actions including Information Security related incidentsComplete due diligence of new suppliers and technology solutionsOversee IT vulnerability scanning and patching processes to ensure they are operated effectivelyProduction of clear management information and reporting for committees and stakeholders.The Role specifics:

This is a broad information security role and would suit someone who enjoys variety on this subject matter. The bullet points below will highlight the breadth of accountabilities. We are therefore looking for someone who has proven transferable experience in at least three of the five key areas below:Planning and executing IS assurance reviews on the performance and effectiveness of information security controls and key outsourced service providersManaging our Data Leakage Protection (DLP) processes including review, tracking of issues, escalation and reportingAuditing experience Professional Profile: The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in information security and be accustomed to working with people from technical and non-technical backgrounds. The Information Security & IT Risk Manager is looking for someone who can work in partnership with him and represent security in all levels of the business including working with users and senior management and translating risk in meaningful terms.
