Network Designer (MPLS, QFX, EVPN) - Heathrow - 3 Month Contract My client, the UK's largest telecoms provider is looking to hire a Network Designer with a specialism in Juniper technologies for a 3 month initial assignment. The role is part of a large customer facing programme of work and will be based on site in Heathrow and can offer a competitive daily rate. Role Background:The successful individual will join my clients design team and will be working in a customer facing environment on a large Data Centre programme of work.You will lead discussions around complex DC/ Cloud infrastructure (network, storage and compute) design, implementation and migration.You will also be required to participate in work stream planning process, including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of network solutions Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve high severity issues or problems.You will be an expert in Data Centre technology providing by my client and the customer with guidance and support on the best practices and technologies. Essential Experience/Skills:Candidates should have extensive experience of Juniper technologies and tools in particular the Juniper DC products and solutions such as MX Series and EX or QFX Series.Ideally candidates should hold Juniper certifications such as JNCIP (DC) or JNCIE (DC).Experience of the below is also required; eVPNVirtual ChassisMC-LAGQ-FabricFusionMPLSEIGRPOSPFBGPA solid understanding of Cisco/Aruba WLAN technology is also of interest.The client has also expressed that experience of JSON or Python programming would also be useful.A good understanding of Loadbalancers like F5 /ACE would also be beneficial as would a good understanding of a range of Firewall technologies such as ASA/Checkpoint/Palo Alto/SRX.Cisco Nexus series e.g. 9K experience would be an added advantage.Candidates will be required to undergo basic background checks before starting on site with the customer.
