Spring Technology is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading clients.

Based in Cheshire, the client is looking for a Network Engineer on an initial 3 month contract.

The following knowledge and experience are required

*Extensive hands-on experience of configuring and supporting Juniper SRX and Cisco ASA firewalls in a standard and controlled manner.

*Significant hands on experience of Cisco Routing and Switching and Juniper Firewall in an enterprise environment covering Local Area, Wide Area and Data Centre Networking in a multi-tenant environment.

*Experience of IPS/IDS and cloud connectivity and Exposure to Microsoft cloud services and Remote Access Services would be a distinct advantage.

*Public Service Network (PSN) experience

*Hands on experience of Wide Area Network migrations in a multi-vendor environment

*Experience of data centre network, wide area network and local area network infrastructure design, provision and support in large, multi-tenant enterprise scale IT, telecoms and networking environments.

*Likely to hold a recognised network engineering accreditation such as Juniper Networks Certified Specialist and Cisco CCNA/CCNP in Routing and Switching

*Expert knowledge of a broad range of networking technologies, protocols, products and suppliers/vendors, including switches, routers, load balancers and firewalls.

*Experience of working on projects interfacing with multiple teams and departments

*The development, support and maintaining up to date the network documentation and visualisations through the network management platform Cisco PRIME

*Simplification and rebuilding of the Corporate, Guest and Partner Wifi services

*Provision LAN authentication for networked devices

*Building an understanding of Telephony Services and developing skills with new Unified Communications solution.
