Senior PHP Developer

City of London

£350 - £450 per day The Web Developer will play a pivotal role within the global IT team. The team are currently responsible for delivery of IT services to approx. 1500 users, across 15 offices worldwide.You will be responsible for the development and enhancements of the brand websites and associated candidate search web portals.The role will involve demonstrating a strong 'Can do' attitude to customer service, excellent communication & technical skills, coupled with a good knowledge of technology and a strong technical PHP, WordPress and Laravel (or similar PHP framework) background.What you'll doWork with internal stakeholders to support the business through the delivery of rich customer friendly and engaging web sitesManage the delivery of enhancements and change requests raised by internal teams via Jira, ensuring requests are dealt with according to SLA & ensuring customer expectation is met or exceededMake extensive use of Confluence to update and maintain documentationWhat you'll bringProven commercial experience working with WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, Plugin & Theme Development, MySQL, Laravel (or similar) PHP frameworkTechnical experience developing WordPress websites from scratchPreferred, but not essential, commercial experience of some or all of the following;

Git for version control, Linux, Nginx, Ubuntu, ApacheAgile skillsA foundation degree or higher within a related IT subjectExpert communicator with solid interpersonal skillsWillingness to go above and beyond your responsibilities to ensure tasks are completedPassionate about web technologiesStrong work ethic and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressureGood customer service skills
