Data & Insights Analyst - RYA Governing Body£26,000 - £28,000 per annum + Benefits Package
Hamble, Southampton
Permanent - Full-time (35 hours per week)
The Royal Yachting Association, based in Hamble near Southampton, is the national governing body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, windsurfing, inland cruising and narrowboats, and personal watercraft.
The Data & Insights Analyst Role:
The RYA is recruiting for a new position of Data & Insights Analyst. This role has been created to help us unlock the full potential of the data and research that we hold by improving the availability and access to data & insights. This in turn will help inform our decisions, optimise our performance and enhance the impact of the RYA's work.
This role will support the RYA in five key areas:
+ Supporting the strategic planning process by providing a robust evidence base to underpin the choices we make
+ Use data-driven insight to inform and evaluate the impact of our programmes and initiatives
+ Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other management metrics to improve understanding of root causes for trends and anomalies
+ Use analysis to enhance the way we engage with our members and other stakeholders; and
+ Improve the RYA's analytical capability by embedding skills within functional teams and building consistency in reporting
We are seeking a candidate with the ability to turn complex concepts into actionable recommendations and to work confidently across teams and with key stakeholders. We are also looking for someone who has prior experience in research, analytics or similar, and who has experience of managing projects.
You will need to be naturally inquisitive to succeed in this role!
