Enterprise Architect - Defence Sector

My client is looking for an Enterprise Architect to work on an exciting project within the defence sector.

In order to support the high level design and procurement activities of the services we need an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Systems Architect or Specialist who has significant experience of similar implementations, and who can work within a team to define the system service components and architecture elements.

They will also need to have practical "been there and done that" experience and expertise so that they can provide input to the vision and strategy. The project will support a significant element of integration across legacy and new systems, both at the data and systems level, so experience of this will also be helpful.

The candidate must be able to support the delivery of a set of requirements that will provide trusted services across all applications.

The role will work with a wider team of Architects, Analysts and SMEs and must be able to work in a fast paced and changing environment.

The High Level ODL Services and Capabilities that need to be defined include:

*A data services orientated approach to deliver distinct data centric capabilities for consumption by users and applications;

*An enabling layer delivering a strong foundation of good quality data, which can be built data source by data source, offering an expansive platform to eventually deliver all data requirements for Defence Support:

*A platform (or platforms) to support data integration requirements, with capabilities for rapid ingestion and integration to deliver faster analysis and access to data;

*A platform for an agreed data quality initiative to set an agreed standard of data accuracy and monitoring;

*A set of capabilities to support system rationalisation as data services can be delivered to wrap and 'hide' legacy applications from the user;

*Defence Support data governance support with metadata management and reporting;

*Master & Reference data management solutions.

Experience of TOGAF, Archimate 3, Sparx EA or BizzDesign ES will be helpful.

Having an understanding and experience of what does and doesn't work in the type of environment is also important.

The role is inside IR35 but the daily rate is competitive.

The role is initially for 3 months but great chances of extensions as long term work.

This position does not require a Security Clearance.
