Business Analyst / Cloud / IaaS, PaaS, SaaS / Azure / AWS

Contract Length: initial 3 months + extensions

Day Rate: £400 - £450 per day

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Start date: ASAP

A Technically minded Business Analyst is required for an initial 3 months to support re-hosting of IT services to cloud technology.

You will be required to:

* Review and scope impact of moving services to cloud technology on existing business process, applications, data and technology components

* Investigate and undertake systems analysis of legacy IT systems and data

* Work with solution architects and infrastructure teams to help shape solution options to transition to cloud technology

* Identify requirements for applications and technology changes as a result of moving to cloud services

*Initiatives include:

o Re-hosting of BI Data Warehouse

o Re-hosting core billing platform

o Re-hosting of data flow management systems

Key Requirements:

* Exposure to cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud technology (AWS, Azure)

* Advanced knowledge of and ability to perform analyses such as, GAP analysis, process mapping, root-cause analysis, risk analysis and requirements gathering in a technical domain

* Experience of defining, testing, training, implementation, and support of functional and non-functional requirements for IT services

* Experience of MI / Data Warehousing requirements definition and / or similar infrastructure projects

* Experience of working with BI teams and Application Development teams to shape requirements

* Understanding of basic Windows Networking, Routing, Switching and Firewalls

* Background or experience as a Developer, Tester, Systems Analyst, IT business analyst, Solution Architect, or Technical/Software Engineer

Accountability:

* Workshop facilitation and interviewing of both business and IT stakeholders

* Documentation requirements (functional / non-functional)

* Documentation of Epics, Features, User stories to support internal software development

* Defines acceptance criteria for solutions

* Documentation of IT and Business Processes

* Works with stakeholders to prioritise requirements

* Communicates requirements and obtain approval of design and solutions

* Identifies risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and constraints to change

* Reviews and provide feedback on third party design proposals

* Assures third party delivery and alignment to requirements
