We're working with one of the UK's leading developers of software solutions to the UK healthcare sector.  We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join one of their core Scrum Development teams in Dundee. You'll be working on a vital product portfolio used by healthcare professionals to administer their day to day tasks and provide the ability to access patients' records in a shared care setting. It also provides the core services that are driving their new wave of clinical applications. What does the role involve? You'll be working across the full software life-cycle in a fast-paced Agile Scrum environment. You'll support and enhance existing applications as well as be involved in developing new software products for the company. You will work as a key part of the team to resolve issues, enhance functionality and implement new requirements for their customers. As an experienced Java Developer you will be comfortable working across the full stack. You'll be a confident communicator, a self-starter with a real passion for problem solving, delivering products of the highest quality and will be happy working collaboratively in an open, friendly and experienced cross-functional team.
You will still want to learn about new technologies and languages, having a flexible approach to work on a variety of projects to ensure the best results. What are we looking for? The ideal person will have experience/skills including: Demonstrable commercial working experience of Java development Spring, Spring Boot Web Services, REST APIs, XML, JSON HTML, JavaScript, CSS Test Driven Development (TDD) Full understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Experience of SCRUM or another Agile development methodology Geat communication and collaboration skills It would be great if you also have knowledge of any of the following; SQL, Postgres, ActiveMQ Maven, Jenkins, Git, or similar, but it's not essential.
