DevOps has slowly been shaping the software world for the last few years. From 2015 to 2016 DevOps adoption increased by 8%, a figure that continues to increase years on year and experts expect to explode in 2019. But, why DevOps? Because time is money. I am currently working in partnership with a market leader in the financial sector. This role sits within a department purposed with providing various innovative technology services and solutions to the wider business. The roles are part of an ongoing recruitment drive with a focus on building a strong DevOps team, but importantly a DevOps culture throughout the business. You will be tasked with ensuring the reliability and maintainability of AWS on an enterprise scale.
In terms of the finer details, the role will be focused on breaking down silos through automation and monitoring, which improves both the quality and quantity. As DevOps practices often need a profound cultural shift from corporate bureaucracy, my client proudly empowers employees to innovate and act.
