Product Safety Engineer opportunity on offer within an innovative, rapidly growing company where your expertise will play a key role in the continued development of cutting edge electronic systems for highly specialised regulated industries. Do you want to work for a specialist defence company where you can play a fundamental role in company growth?Established 40 years ago this company are a defence contractor specialising in the development, integration and through-life support of underwater, land and military communications systems. Having recently undergone expansion they are now looking for an Experienced Health and Safety engineer to strategize mitigation procedures due to increased workload.In this role you will develop and implement safety procedures maximising efficiency of business operations adhering to MOD industry regulations. You will be adept at undertaking risk analysis and mitigation, working closely with other departments advising on safety legislation for site and production.The ideal candidate will be an Experienced Health and Safety Engineer who has knowledge of the UK defence industry and electrical/Electronic systems. You will have managerial skills being able to coordinate and oversee implementation of company safety procedures. You must also be willing to occasionally conduct client site visits with offshore ship safety training provided. The ability to attain UK security Clearance is also a requirement.The Role:*Working alongside engineering design team providing advice on safety matters
*Documentation production for safety procedures and processes
*Conduct risk identification estimation and implement reduction techniques
*Operating from Weymouth, Dorset
*£40,000-£45,000 + Holiday Package + Pension + Private HealthcareThe Person:*Experienced Health and Safety Engineer
*Experience planning and implementing safety procedures within company operations
*Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
