Developing technologies, customer expectations and external budget pressures mean they need to modernise and rethink how they deliver their services.They are recruiting a number of ICT Project Managers to join their ICT Programme Management Office (PMO) Team, tasked with delivering Projects and Services to ensure the Council continues to have an ICT infrastructure fit for the future.Job Duties:Horizon ScanningWork with others to plan and develop projects with a future timelineWork innovatively to solve project problems - risk and issue assessment, mitigation and resolutionLeading PeopleCommunicate with others to develop projects and contribute to programme deliveryPut equality and diversity at the heart of everything they doManaging ResourcesManaging project data (GDPR Compliance)Managing PerformanceProgress updates for projectsMonitoring and reporting project quality and performanceEnsuring policies and procedures are followedManaging SelfBe responsible for own health and safetyNetworking with othersKey Requirements:Education to degree level, equivalent qualification or extensive professional experience requiredA Prince2™ Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification or extensive professional experience requiredDevelopment of organisational capability and capacity (people, processes, technology, knowledge)Experience of innovation and change deliveryExperience of communicating and inspiring confidence at a senior level with technical and non-technical audiencesEvidence of working collaboratively cross-organisational teams to deliver shared outcomesEvidence of using reporting tools to monitor programme activities and analyse project performance, plans, milestones, budgets and risksEvidence of continuous professional development (where applicable)Good analytical, conceptual and financial analysis skills, and familiarity with financial reporting toolsAble to lead the development and delivery of technical projects of change with evidence of supporting strategic corporate prioritiesAble to communicate innovative technological solutions effectively to a range of stakeholdersAble to process data and information in order to build robust business cases and project initiation documentationAble to work with integrity and commitment to deliver the best outcomes for council staffAble to demonstrate authentic leadership and evidence successful results in innovation and staff development, with ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams of technical and business professionalsHaving a strong focus on equality, diversity and respect in their leadership roleStrong planning skills to ensure the integrity of the projects which the post holder is managingThe ability to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English is essential for the postFor this role the successful candidates must undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. BPSS is the minimum standard to ensure the identity and integrity of an employee who has access to official information using secure networks linking central government and local authorities.
