QA Engineer

One of our Cheshire based clients is seeking a QA Engineer to join their growing team. You will be responsible for testing software using both automation and manual testing, and delivering these results to the business. You will be required to liaise with other teams within the business at different stages of the software life cycle, and attending meetings relating to these projects.

QA Engineer duties will include, but not limited to:

*Ensure software is tested and deployments are supported

*Analyse technical requirements to produce test estimates

*Performing regression, sanity, exploratory, load and performance testing

*Contribute in Scrum ceremonies

*Reporting defects in Jira and communicate and issues which may affect the agreed deadline to management

*Production of clear testing reports

*Produce test plans, test scripts and traceability documentation

*Assist other teams with UAT/integration testing where required

As the QA Engineer you will be required to posses:

*Experience with manual and web service testing

*Previous working within an agile environment, participating in sprint and scrum meetings

*Knowledge of structured test methods and processes

*Previous experience with automation testing (Selenium, Selenium Webdriver, Selenium Grid, Java, JUnit, Maven)

*Possess a good understanding of test analysis and acceptance criteria

*An understanding of continuous integration

*Previous experience with SOAP and REST Web API

*Experience with databases and SQL scripting
