With some fantastic new projects on the horizon, I am working with the small arm of a global company that design and manufacture equipment for hazardous areas and safety solutions.
After bringing the Electronic (and software) design in-house, the role for the electronics engineer will continue the full capability of the future hardware design requirements on all projects and allow the team to build for future.
Your role will encompass the leadership of the product lifecycle from start to finish including the circuit design right the way through to approvals. You will also provide technical and application support to your colleagues, distributors and customers whilst also leading the approvals of the company's products.
You will have the chance to become the main provider of electronic design services in the short and medium-term future establishing in-house software based circuit design and hardware development and testing facilities. You will be given the opportunity to build up skills and knowledge of standards such as IEC61610 and IEC 61508.
As the Electronics design and development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of new analogue and digital designs, these will including embedded microprocessors and safety critical hardware.

-Electronic Design both Digital and Analogue circuits
-PCB Layout in Altium
-Microcontroller based circuits
-Knowledge of/Skills in C programming (MISRA-C) would be advantageous
-Strong communication skills for customer, colleague and distributor interfacing
-Any knowledge of ATEX, IECEx, cCSAus hazardous area approvals and Ex design is beneficial
