Role: QA Engineer

Location: Nottingham

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Report to: QA Lead/ Senior QA Engineer

Manual / Automation / Selenium / Java / JUnit / Maven / SOAP / REST / WebAPI / SQL / C# / HTML / XML / Batch Files / Shell Scripts / JavaScript

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for using Manual and Automation test processes to deliver results to the business. You will have to work with numerous departments within the company at various stages of the SDLC and attend meetings to understand the projects you will work on.

The team:

You will be working alongside an excellent team of professionals who ensure customers expectations and quality standards are always met by delivering outstanding products and services. Your role within the team is to focus on manual, automated and non-functional testing including load, performance and stress-testing. The team are currently working on the shift-left policy which involves cutting the costs and improving the time and quality of delivery by identifying defects at the earliest stage of all business units.

You will be:

*Testing and deploying software to adhere to the high standards of the business's processes and requirements

*Analysing technical requirements to produce test estimates and approach per project, story or component

*Performing regression, sanity, exploratory, load and performance testing within the timescales given to a high standard

*Maintaining legacy test suites and updating data sets for testing

*Enhancing and maintaining the existing Selenium, Specflow and SOAP UI Pro test automation suites

*Reporting defects clearly using JIRA and communicating any issues that may affect the agreed deadline

You will need:

*IT related Qualification

*A testing affiliation (ideally)

You will be experienced in:

*Manual and Web service testing

*Working in an agile environment and attending sprint and scrum meetings

*Groovy Scripting in Soap UI

*Selenium automation using Selenium Webdriver, Selenium Grid, JAVA, JUnit and Maven

*Developing automation scripts for end to end scenarios and maintaining automation suites

*SOAP & REST web API

*Databases and database tools with outstanding SQL scripting

You will need an understanding of:

*Structured test methods and processes

*Test Analysis and acceptance criteria process

*Continuous integration and associated tools (Jenkins, Hudson etc)

*SQL, C#, Java, HTML, XML, Batch Files, Shell Scripts or JavaScript

*Testing documents, test lifecycles and defect tracking/management
