The Commercial department at the Met is responsible for creating and leading exciting strategies to deliver our vital Commissioning Plan. From ensuring value for money, to maximising value from spend on third party goods and services, and meeting the needs of the business - this is a fascinating place to be.

Right now, we're looking for a Contract Analyst to join us. If you're commercially astute and you bring a track record of delivering financial benefits through effective contract management, we'd love to hear from you.

Here, you'll be part of one of the most highly respected police services in the world. Within your small team, you'll gain wider business exposure, as well as flexible working hours and great benefits.

It will be your job to build the relationships that matter. Positive, commercial, strategic partnerships, across the supply chain. In this way, you'll help drive performance, improving service delivery and creating additional value.

You'll also collate and verify commercial KPIs covering supplier performance, spend, contract compliance, VFM, risks and opportunities and production of dashboard reporting at governance level. What's more, you'll focus on contract administration, including the management of contract governance, performance, escalation processes, risk and issues registers, financial management and change control processes.

As you'd expect, we're looking someone who brings experience of negotiating and managing contracts - ideally of an ICT nature, within a multi-sourcing environment. You're a self-starter, with a positive mindset and you're equally happy to work independently as in a team.

Crucially, you bring a working knowledge of commercial contract management processes and performance management regimes. You're equally familiar with the commercial life cycle management and standard sourcing methodologies, as well as regulatory frameworks. And, thanks to your understanding of contract law, service agreements, contracts and frameworks, the Met will be in safe hands.
