Job Description
Consumer Onboarding will give you the opportunity to work in a fun dynamic team who are at the forefront of leading the way for customers & colleagues in transforming & digitising the Lloyds Banking Group Retail Bank across mobile, branch, telephony and internet banking. A great opportunity has arisen within the Consumer Onboarding Value Stream as a Front End Chapter Lead Engineer. You'll work in a highly collaborative way to drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our frontend client software working closely with the product and engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges. You'll be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance will engineering transformation strategy reporting to Lab Engineering Lead.
What we're looking for...
An ideal Front End Chapter Lead Engineer for Consumer Onboarding will need to be able to display the following qualities:
Behaviors & Competencies: "can-do" attitude, capability of bootstrapping projects, and ability to effectively work with multi-disciplinary, internal and external distributed teams across the project lifecycle. Experience managing, coaching and helping engineers grow their potential.
About you...
Commanding grasp of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies - 5-10 years' experience
Experience on Front-End test automation, GIT and CI - 4-7 years' experience
Strong Knowledge of JavaScript - 3-6 years' experience
Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling, such as Reactjs, Redux, Webpack - 3-6 years' experience
Cross Browser - 3-6 years' experience
Design & UX - 3-6 years' experience
Containers - 2+ years' experience
Familiarity with server-side REST APIs
Mobile apps - preferred experience
What will you be doing?
Being a servant leader that is also a line manager focusing on coaching and helping the people of the chapter grow in their function
Build efficient and reusable front-end systems and abstractions
Find and address quality and performance issues.
Participate in design and code reviews.
Identify general improvements and implement engineering standard methodologies.
Collaborate with the product/design team to iterate the design function and implement the products
Collaborate with Backend and DevOps Engineers to build features and experiments
